A group of seniors have become an internet sensation after nursing home staff posted their videos recreating famous oil paintings on Chinese social media platform Douyin recently.

The seniors, who range in age from 73 to 92 years old, live in a nursing home in east China's Shanghai municipality. The nursing home staff often arrange cultural events for the residents. In July, they were inspired by some children’s videos that went viral after reenacting some famous paintings.

Nursing home staff and residents eagerly set about obtaining the perfect props, outfits, and makeup to make the project a success.
