World Habitat Day signifies the basic right to adequate shelter for all in our villages, towns and cities. In 1985, the United Nations General Assembly announced the first Monday in October to celebrate World Habitat Day every year.

आज World Habitat Day है यानि विश्व पर्यावास दिवस...हर साल अक्टूबर महीने के पहले सोमवार को विश्व पर्यावास दिवस मनाया जाता है।विश्व पर्यावास दिवस हमारे गांवों, कस्बों और शहरों में सभी के लिए पर्याप्त आश्रय के मूल अधिकार को दर्शाता है। साल 1985 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने अक्टूबर में प्रथम सोमवार को हर साल विश्व पर्यावास दिवस को मनाने की घोषणा की थी।
