Here's what Hathras DM said about victim's cremation

The 19-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly raped by four men in Hathras district in northern India. She was grievously injured and died in a Delhi hospital on Tuesday after fighting for her life for two weeks. Her body was brought to their village in Uttar Pradesh state around midnight. The victim's brother said that the police officers took the body in an ambulance and cremated her. The cremation of a 19-year-old girl, without family's consent, has raised several questions on Uttar Pradesh police.
