Always A Bridesmaid? This Woman Turned It Into A Lucrative Full-Time Gig
  • 4 years ago
It's said that a wedding invitation is a bill written in calligraphy, and the bill gets even steeper when you're asked to be a bridesmaid.
But Business Insider contributor Jen Glantz decided to turn the tables. She became a professional bridesmaid and started a business to do it.
First, by running a Craiglist ad, she found that hundreds of women were interested in her services. More importantly, they told her why they needed her, and for what.
Next, she built her business infrastructure: a website, a price list, package details, videos, and so on.
Glantz then did a few test weddings to work out the kinks. Since then, she's added features and hired a marketing team!
