  • il y a 4 ans
Heavily armed militiamen from the Cooperation for the Development of Congo (CODECO) negotiate peace terms with former warlords sent as emissaries of peace by Congolese President Félix Tshisekedi. This is the authorities' gamble to put an end to the massacres of civilians in Ituri province, in the north-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. According to the UN, more than a thousand civilians have been massacred since December 2017.
