China angry at President Trump's speech at the United Nations.
US President Donald Trump on September 22 affirmed to the United Nations General Assembly (UN General Assembly) that China must be held accountable for spreading Covid-19 to the whole world. Beijing has expressed anger by accusing the White House boss of "lying" and using United Nations as a provocation.

According to Chinese Ambassador to United Nations Zhang Jun, President Trump's charges against Beijing were "unfounded" and "lies repeated thousands of times are still lies".

Responding to the reporter, Mr. Zhang said: "While the international community is really fighting strongly with Covid-19, the United States is spreading the political virus right at the United Nations General Assembly. I have to emphasize that broadcast. American language does not fit with the general atmosphere at the United Nations General Assembly.

In a statement that followed, Ambassador Zhang accused the US of "abusing the UN podium to provoke confrontation and cause divisions".

In his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on the same day, Chinese President Xi Jinping affirmed Beijing "has no intention of a cold or hot war with any country".
