US deploys a range of weapons and troops to Syria.
The Pentagon has deployed a series of armored vehicles and radar systems with troops to Syria, reinforcing its military presence in the country.

According to Russian news agency RT, the move was combined with increasing air patrol activities in eastern Syria announced by the US Central Command on September 18.

"The United States has just deployed Sentinel radar, increased frequency of fighter patrol and deployed Bradley tanks to replenish US forces in the East Syrian Security Area (ESSA)," a spokesman for Central Command American mind, Captain Bill Urban said in a statement. This decision, he explained, was aimed at "ensuring the safety and security of allied forces".

It is known that this deployment will include 6 Bradleys and nearly 100 soldiers, but it is not clear where they will operate in Syria. According to RT, most of Syria's northeast is now under the control of the US-backed Kurdish militia.

Colonel Urban did not mention Moscow in his announcement, but another anonymous US official commented to CNN that the new developments were "a clear signal to Russia asking to respect collision avoidance procedures".
