Sexy Durga Movie (2017) - trailer HD - Plot synopsis: Durga, a Hindu north Indian migrant and local Muslim Keralite man, Kabeer, are eloping at midnight. Trying to hitch a ride to the nearest railway station, when two men in a van stop to offer them a ride, later joined by two more, the pair’s need for a lift eclipses their wariness.
Parallel to the journey of our hapless "Durga", in another Kerala village, devotees perform ‘Garudan Thookkam'. Translated as Eagle Hanging, the main performing men are pierced with a shaft hook in their backs and hung in a tall grandly decorated and lighted wooden pedestal. This is to offer gratitude to Goddess Kali, who represents Goddess Durga’s wrath, meant for the destruction of evil.
The improvised, nocturnal road movie takes protagonists and audience alike, down an inescapable journey, to highlight the stark division between the place of a real woman vs. a worshipped goddess in India.
