Chilli pepper farmers in China’s western Xinjiang region brace for bumper harvest

Chilli peppers have turned thousands of hectares of farm fields in western China into a sea of red. On September 20, 2020, Chinese state television showed images of the spicy crop in Shawan county in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, where farms were entering their peak harvest season.
