Fires ravaging world’s largest wetland and large parts of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil

Thousands of blazes are sweeping across the Brazilian Pantanal, charring more than 10 per cent of the world's largest wetland since mid-July 2020. Though ecologically vital, the Pantanal is smaller and less known than its famous cousin, the Amazon rainforest, which is also being devastated by wildfires this year.
