India's coronavirus tally has surpassed 49 lakh after a single-day spike of over 83,000 cases. The country has also reported 1,054 deaths in the last 24 hours. At least 25 MPs, 16 from Lok Sabha and nine from Rajya Sabha, have tested positive for COvid-19 during mandatory testing before the Monsoon session of Parliament began on Monday. Watch the video.
