International Hindi Day is celebrated on January 10 annually and Hindi Diwas is celebrated on September 14 every year in India. On this day, Hindi, written in the Devanagri script, was adopted as the official language of the Republic of India, in 1949. The first Hindi Diwas was celebrated in 1953.
