This is the adorable moment dozens of baby Olive ridley sea turtles scrambled across the sand to reach the sea after they hatched.

Surfing the instructor and environmentalist Winston Plaza, who is part of the Save Our Seas movement in the Philippines, said that their mission is to protect and conserve the marine wildlife in their island.

He said: "Our area is one of the places that has a lot of turtles this nesting season that's need to be cared for and conserve."

The video was recorded in Mati City, Davao province on August 15.

Also called the Pacific ridley sea turtle, the species is the second smallest and most abundant of all sea turtles found in the world.
