China-India border dispute: China frees detained Indians after sides agree to ‘quickly disengage’
  • 4 years ago
Five Indian men temporarily detained by the People’s Liberation Army for crossing into Chinese territory were released on September 12, 2020. India has said the men were in the area near northeastern India to hunt, but a Chinese state newspaper has accused them of spying. Beijing and New Delhi agreed on September 10 that both countries should “quickly disengage” troops from their disputed Himalayan border after months of tension in another tense area along the frontier in India’s northwest.
