S. Korea's FM urges resumption of talks with N. Korea, calls for support from neighbors

South Korea's Foreign Minister, Kang Kyung-wha, speaking at a multilateral security forum, has called for the resumption of talks between Seoul, Pyeongyang and Washington.
This was on Saturday at the ASEAN Regional Forum held virtually and in which North Korea also took part.
The North, however, reportedly focused on its domestic affairs,... like COVID-19 and the damage from recent typhoons.
At the ARF, Deputy U.S. Secretary of State Stephen Biegun, who is Washington's special representative for North Korea,... expressed support for the Korean Peninsula peace process, a point of view he said he was joined in by several other foreign ministers.
