Rescuers caught a snake that was hiding under a pensioner's bed. The team were called to the property in Ang Thong, central Thailand, in the early hours of Saturday morning (September 5).

Owner Chonthicha Chandra saw the radiated rat snake acting aggressively under his sick elderly father's bed.

Snake catcher Jirawat Iamlamai arrived and reached under the bed to catch the snake and take it outside before it was released into the wild.

He said that even though the snake was non-venomous, they are still aggressive and residents should always call the emergency services for professional help.
