The South Korean Ambassador to the U.S. has stressed that Seoul must take into account its major economic partner, China when considering the future of its long-time alliance with Washington.
Ambassador Lee Soo-hyuck said in a webinar Thursday that Seoul is in a "unique" position and needs to consider both security and its economy.
He also described the country's geopolitical uniqueness as a double-edged sword,... explaining this can be a strength or weakness,... depending on how South Korea addresses and utilizes it.
