Indian officials rescue puppies trapped in pipe after land caves in

Animal rescue workers managed to rescue three puppies that became trapped inside a pipe after land caved in at a dump yard in western India.
Footage filmed on June 26 shows the rescuers digging up a piece of land to reveal three puppies trapped in a pipe.
Locals alerted the Animal Rescue Society after they heard the mother whimpering and desperately trying to find her babies.
Rescuer Akash Jadhav and his team rushed to the spot and started digging away the mud to try and reach the trapped pups.
Jadhav said: “There was a risk of the earth collapsing on the pups, so we had to be very careful while digging.”
The puppies were placed in a temporary shelter where their mother later joined them.
