Kern County is on track to have record-breaking homicide numbers this year. In fact, the latest homicide was early Wednesday morning. Kern County District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer told 23ABC 50 percent of those homicides are never solved and they are trying to bring awareness to the importance of the secret witness program.
