Healthcare workers have been hailed as the heroes and heroines of the fight against the Coronavirus. But trade union NEHAWU says they have been subjected to poor working conditions and sub-standard protective gear. It has held a day of prayer at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto to remember the frontliners, who lost their lives to COVID-19.
