The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh, along with the exercise to bring back the law and order situation in the state, has also started trying to improve the Panchayati Raj system. Under this, the government has decided to make major changes in the rules before the Panchayat elections to be held in the state. The government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is going to decide the eligibility to contest the panchayat elections. Under this, those with less than eight educational qualifications and more than two children will not get a chance to fight in the panchayat elections.

उत्तर प्रदेश की योगी सरकार ने प्रदेश में कानून-व्यवस्था की स्थिति को पटरी पर लाने की कवायद के साथ-साथ पंचायती राज व्यवस्था को भी दुरुस्त बनाने की मशक्कत शुरू कर दी है. इसके तहत सरकार ने प्रदेश में होने वाले पंचायत चुनाव से पहले नियमों में बड़ा फेरबदल करने का फैसला किया है. मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की सरकार पंचायत चुनाव लड़ने की योग्यता तय करने जा रही है. इसके तहत आठवीं पास से कम की शैक्षणिक योग्यता और दो से अधिक बच्चों वालों को पंचायत चुनाव में लड़ने का मौका नहीं मिल सकेगा.
