Masala Fish Curry is a bengali fish curry that is flavoured with ginger paste & tomato purée.

Recipe:
Ingredients for Marination of Fish :
Fish-500 Gm
Salt-1 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Ingredients for Frying Potatoes:
Potato-2 Small Size Potato
Salt-1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp

Ingredients for Cooking:
Mustard Oil-4 tbsp
Bayleaf-2
Cinnamon-2
Cumin-1/4 tsp
Ginger-Green Chilli Paste-3 tbsp
Tomato Puree-5 tbsp
Salt- As per taste
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder-1 tsp
Cumin Powder-1 tsp
Crushed Cardamom-1/4 tsp
Water-As Required

Cooking Process:
Take 4 tbsp mustard Oil in a kadai, fry fishes until golden on medium heat. Keep it aside. Add potatoes in the same oil & keep it frying until golden. Keep it aside. In the same oil add bayleaf, cinnamon, cumin & let them crackle. Add ginger-green chilli paste & fry 2-3 mins. Add tomato purée, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder to it. Fry all the spices 2-3 mins on low heat & add water as required for gravy . Add potatoes & wait for a boil. Add fried fish & crushed cardamom & switch off the flame. Serve it with hot basmati rice.
