80 members have died from COVID-19

Minister of Higher Education, Blade Nzimande, has disclosed the number of students and staff members suspected of having contracted COVID-19 and having been quarantined at numerous institutions. He says 35 university staff members lost their lives to the virus while 9 students passed on.
