It’s final now. The England and Australian cricketers will miss the first week of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) in UAE. Royal Challengers Bengaluru chairman Sanjeev Churiwala had declared on Thursday that as England & Australian cricket will be coming from one Bio-Secure bubble to another one, they will not have to undergo one week quarantine in UAE. England & Australian cricketers will miss the first week of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). The IPL franchises will have to play the first 1-2 games without the star cricketers from England & Australia in their squads.

बीते दिनों रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बेंगलोर के चेयरमैन संजीव चूरीवाला ने ये बयान दिया था कि इंग्लैंड और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाड़ियों को यूएई आने पर क्वारेंटीन में नहीं रखा जाना चाहिए. अब इस पर बाकी फ्रेंचाईजियों के मालिक ने आपत्ति जताई है. सबका साफ कहना है कि इतना बड़ा रिस्क हम नहीं उठा सकते हैं. सभी को नियम का पालन करना होगा. टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया से बातचीत में फ्रेंचाइजी मालिक ने कहा, “ये बाद में आने वाले खिलाड़ियों के लिए अनिवार्य क्यों नहीं किया जा रहा है कि उन्हें एक हफ्ते क्वारेंटीन में रहना होगा? नियम सभी के लिए बराबर होने चाहिए.” गौरतलब है कि संजीव चूरीवाला के पीछे के कहने का तुक ये था कि इंग्लैंड और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच होने वाले सीमित ओवर फॉर्मेट सीरीज 16 सितंबर को खत्म होनी है.
