Lasith Malinga is set to miss the first part of the 2020 IPL for Mumbai Indians. ESPNcricinfo understands Malinga will not be travelling to the UAE, where the IPL will be played from September 19 to November 10, and will miss the initial games due to personal reasons. His father is ill and may require surgery and the cricketer wants to be by his side during the tough time. This will be a huge blow for the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI).

मुंबई इंडियंस को आईपीएल शुरू होने से पहले ही बड़ा झटका लगा है. खबर ये है टीम के तेज गेंदबाज लसिथ मलिंगा नहीं खेलेंगे. आईपीएल के शुरूआती हफ्ते में लसिथ मलिंगा टीम के साथ नहीं होंगे. कुछ मैच मुंबई इंडियंस को मलिंगा के बिना ही खेलना होगा. ऐसे में मलिंगा की कमी तो टीम को खलने वाली है. खबरों के अनुसार टीम के प्रमुख गेंदबाज लसिथ मलिंगा निजी कारणों के चलते 19 सितंबर से 10 नवंबर के बीच खेले यूएई में जाने वाले आईपीएल 2020 के शुरूआती मैचों में शामिल नहीं हो पाएंगे. क्रिकइनफो की खबर के अनुसार मलिंगा के पिता बीमार चल रहे हैं और आने वाले हफ्तों में उनकी सर्जरी की जरूरत पड़ सकती है.
