Former IPID head, Robert McBride, says he believes former acting police commissioner, Khomotso Phahlane, chose a team to investigate corruption allegations against him in 2016. He was giving testimony before the commission of inquiry into state capture. He also says he believes former head of the Hawks in the North West Jan Mabula, should have recused himself from the investigation.
