London kidnapping: Police hunt stolen car with young child inside – plea for information

A YOUNG child has been found after being feared to be inside a car that was reported missing in east London.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed just before 3.30pm that the vehicle had been tracked down and the child had been located “safe and well” elsewhere. The force issued an urgent appeal earlier on Thursday for a white Audi A3 with the registration number GK20 AFU.
The car had last been seen in Beckton Triangle, Newham, shortly after midday.
Officers believed the youngster was inside the car and launched a desperate hunt for the vehicle.
No further details were released but anyone with information was asked to call 999.
