SIU probes R5bn in dodgy deals

The Special Investigating Unit says it is making good progress in probing suspected corruption in over 600 contracts linked to COVID-19 procurement. The deals have an estimated value of more than R5 billion, and that amount is growing. The SIU has told Parliament it wants to complete the probes within six months of the complaints being lodged.
