In a rescue operation, a king cobra snake wrapped itself around the rescuer’s neck while being freed from a house in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

The snake was spotted on August 11 in a house in Nainital.

According to reports, the forest department’s Rapid Response Team rushed to the spot on being informed about the serpent's sighting.

Visuals show the rescuer using different methods to gain control of the snake hiding beneath a coffee table.

Later, he proceeds to place the reptile in a sack when it briskly envelops its body around the man’s face and neck, terrifying the spectators.

The snake was later released into the wild.
