Tugboats pull Japanese cargo ship to open sea after it broke up and leaked fuel off Mauritius

The Japanese cargo ship, the MV Wakashio, which ran aground on July 25, 2020, and split into two causing a major fuel spill off the coast of Mauritius on August 15, is being dragged by tug boats out to open sea according to local officials. There are major environmental concerns over the several thousand tonnes of fuel that the vessel was carrying.
