PS4 Controllers Won't Work With the New PS5 Games
  • 4 years ago
The next-gen console is
set to be released later this year.
Some PlayStation 4 games will
be playable on the console,
but when it comes to titles made for the PlayStation 5, gamers won’t be able to use the PlayStation 4 DualShock controller.
So if people want to play PS5 games, they'll have to buy the next-gen console's controllers.
"We believe that PS5 games should take advantage of the new capabilities and features we’re bringing to the platform, including the features of DualSense wireless controller." Sony, via statement.
However, if someone is playing a PS4 game on the next-gen console, then they will be able to use a PS4 controller in that situation.
"The DualShock 4 wireless controller and PlayStation officially licensed third-party gamepad controllers will work with supported PS4 games." Sony, via statement
