PHC/ PC Pile Manufacturing & Pressing procedure
Essential and Foundational building materials that transfer building’s load to ground. Acronym of Pretensioned spun High strength Concrete Piles, PHC Pile is high strength concrete
produced by Pretension which concretes made using spun has
over 78.5MPa(800kgf/㎠) compressive strength.


High Loading Capacity
Design strength of concrete is 78.5MPa(800kgf/㎠) which is greatly larger than conventional PC Pile’s design strength 49.1MPa(500kgf/㎠), Long-term allowable compressive stress is high about 19.6MPa(200kgf/㎠) compared to 12.3MPa(125kgf/㎠) of PC Pile that it has high bearing capacity. Therefore economical design is possible.
High resistance in Hitting
Bond of Aggregates and cement paste is extremely strong through AUTO CLAVE curing that CONCRETE’s compressive strength is fairly high. This means it has high resistance to hitting, and thus economical due to high constructability, probability of distress during driving is low even with increased driving times that it could certainly reach the supporting layers.
Economical Design is possible
Large design bearing capacity and great resistance on driving force and more over, AUTO CLAVE curing enables production of high strength Pile in a short time that it is greatly economical to freely change the length design specifically for the condition of the ground on the field construction without delay in construction.
Low Reduction of Drying Shrinkage
According to the experiment result of spun specimen, AUTO CLAVE curing CONCRETE in compare to atmospheric steam curing CONCRETE has significantly low CREEP and Drying Shrinkage.
High Chemical Resistance
Experiments were conducted to put a test piece in 5% solutions of hydrochronic acid, acetate, lactic acid, and etc. PHC Pile in comparison to PC Pile had outstanding results on acid resistnace. This is because cement harding material’s composition is close by AUTO CLAVE curing , Cement paste and aggregate has very strong attachment.
Large Bending Moment
In comparing relations between bending moment and axial force PC and PHC Piles, as axial force(N) increase, you can know the characteristic that PHC Pile’s rupture bending moment is greater than that of PC.
