In this deeply moving and inspirational interview, war veteran and magician Fergus Anckorn talks about his incredible life and how he used magic to survive several brushes with death including one of the most heinous crimes of the 20th century – the massacre of patients and medical staff by Japanese soldiers at the Alexandra Military Hospital, Singapore.

Fergus began his career as a conjurer called “Wizardus” aged 18 when he was one of the youngest members of The Magic Circle.At the time of his death in 2018 he was The Magic Circle's oldest and longest-serving member.
