Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan thanked the people of Rantau one by one at the local market there on Sunday after his big win in the Rantau by-election the day before.

He was re-elected as the Rantau assemblyman for the fourth term in a by-election called by the Election Commission after the election court ruled that his unopposed win in the general election was null and void.

A Pakatan Harapan candidate was denied entry to a nomination centre to file his nomination papers because he did not have an official pass issued by the Election Commission.
