Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday announced his intention to contest the PKR presidency at the party's upcoming polls in August.
It remains unclear if his ascension to the presidency would entail Dr Wan Azizah stepping down as deputy prime minister, but holding the post will most likely precipitate his entrance into mainstream politics and prompt changes within the power arrangements in Pakatan Harapan.
