In response to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Ali decision to defer Hadi's motion to the next Parliament seating, PAS Lawmaker Mahfuz Omar claimed the Speaker had received instructions from the Barisan Nasional Supreme Council. Mahfuz also said Kota Baru MP Takiyuddin Hassan and supporters for the bill, should have stood up and raised an objection to the Speaker on the matter.
