Asean biodiversity photo contest

Photographers from Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam bagged the top three prizes in the recently concluded Third ASEAN Zooming in on Biodiversity Photo Contest. The contest is organised by the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), which announced the winners during the celebration of ACB’s 10th anniversary on October 2. Hansa Tangmanpoowadol of Thailand took the first prize for his entry titled Unity. Kyaw Kyaw Winn of Myanmar took second for his Fishermen of Inle Lake, while Vietnam’s Ho Van Dien, 36, came in third for Mother and Sons. The winners shared the prize money amounting to USD3,000. With the theme One ASEAN. One Biodiversity, the contest was stage with the aim of demonstrating ASEAN’s shared treasure trove of biological riches.
