Trekking in the forest of Kirirom
I I went on a one day trekking to the Chambok community on border of the Kirirom National Park, organised by the Toursanak educational adventure company. It was in all senses a very positive experience. The trekking tour was almost 12 kilometre long but included in it was a steep hillside hiking of around 300 meters! So actually it felt much longer. Well up on the top of the Chambok Mountain there was a beautiful view of the surrounding area, including the sharp difference between the protected forest area of the Chambok community and the neighbouring community with stripped hills and charcoal factory. We followed the river downstream and passed beautiful waterfalls, one over 40 meters high and enjoyed swimming gin the cool water.
If you like outdoors activities, interested in nature and rural communities, this is definitely a tour that can be recommended.
