Justice Department to amend GBV laws

A non-governmental organisation in Cape Town has expressed concern that many gender-based violence cases are not being resolved. All too often it is because complainants withdraw cases after opening them. Now, the Justice Department is working on a bill that will prohibit complainants from withdrawing assault cases.
