Nuclear fusion is the reaction that powers the Sun, other stars and in fact our entire universe. It is one of the cleanest sources of energy and promises unlimited power but it is very hard to replicate on earth, primarily because of the extreme amounts of energy involved. Now, after decades of research, the world's largest nuclear fusion project has started assembly in France last week. India, too, is playing a significant role in the project.
