The constitutional validity of the contempt law is challenged in the Supreme Court. Former Union Minister Arun Shourie, lawyer Prashant Bhushan and senior journalist N. Ram has challenged the validity of the Context of Court Act by filing an application in the Supreme Court. The petitioner has said in the application filed in the Supreme Court that the fundamental right of the Constitution is against the freedom of expression. The petition selects the constitutional validity of the contempt law.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट में अवमानना कानून की संवैधानिक वैधता को चुनौती दी गई है। पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री अरुण शौरी, वकील प्रशांत भूषण और सीनियर जर्नलिस्ट एन. राम ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में अर्जी दाखिल कर कंटेप्ट ऑफ कोर्ट ऐक्ट की वैधता को चुनौती दी है।याचिकाकर्ता ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में दाखिल अर्जी में कहा है कि कंटेप्ट ऑफ कोर्ट संविधान के मौलिक अधिकार अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी के खिलाफ है। याचिका में अवमानना कानून की संवैधानिक वैधता को चुनती दी गई है।
