With over 54,000 cases in 24 hours, India's COVID-19 tally crosses 17 lakh mark

India's total coronavirus cases rose to 17,50,724 today, after record single-day increase of 54,736 cases, according to the Union Health Ministry data. The death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 37,364 with 853 people succumbing to the disease in a 24-hour span.
