Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur's ministerial portfolios were also fixed late on Friday night 24 hours after the appointment of all the members in the cabinet. After consultations with the central leadership throughout the day on Friday, the Chief Minister got the list of portfolios of his ministers approved by the Governor keeping in mind the 2022 assembly elections. According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department, senior cabinet ministers Mahendra Singh, Industries Minister Bikram Singh and Virendra Kanwar have been given additional charge.

हिमाचल प्रदेश के सीएम जयराम ठाकुर मंत्रिमंडल में सभी सदस्यों की नियुक्ति के 24 घंटे बाद शुक्रवार देर रात मंत्रियों के विभाग भी तय कर दिए गए। शुक्रवार को दिनभर केंद्रीय नेतृत्व के साथ मंत्रणा के बाद मुख्यमंत्री ने 2022 के विधानसभा चुनाव को ध्यान में रखते हुए अपने मंत्रियों के विभागों की सूची राज्यपाल से मंजूर करवा ली। सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग की ओर से जारी अधिसूचना के अनुसार वरिष्ठतम कैबिनेट मंत्री महेंद्र सिंह, उद्योग मंत्री बिक्रम सिंह और वीरेंद्र कंवर को अतिरिक्त प्रभार सौंपा गया है.
