Spectacularly fiery end to socially-distanced UK music recital
  • 4 years ago
Principal Conductor of the Amadeus Orchestra, Philip Mackenzie, and pianist Malcolm Forbes-Peckham perform the fiery ending to a socially-distanced music recital near Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire on the evening of July 18.

Philip wrote a variation on one of minimalist composer La Monte Young's pieces, which culminates in two upright pianos being set on fire.

The controlled blaze illuminated the rural Kilcott Valley for a short time.
