Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a fire on the 24000 blocks of Orange Avenue, in the City of Perris on Tuesday night (July 28). The first on the scene fire resource reported approximately a quarter lot of burning debris with extension to a 100,000+ square foot commercial structure.

Heavy fire loading from the contents of the building created difficult conditions for firefighters. The fire also extended to the surrounding vegetation, with three 100x30 spots causing the nearby train tracks to be temporarily shut down.

Despite an aggressive attack by firefighters, the building was fully involved within the first hour.

The fire was contained at approximately 9:00 pm with damage to the building estimated at around $3,500,00.

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
