The process that you must follow to exit the Emirates without paying any fines

Are you confused about the latest visit visa base for the UAE and how does it apply to you?

With the recent changes to the UAE visa rules regarding COVID-19, you may not know how the latest updates affect the visa status of your visit

These are the rules and procedures if you have a visitor visa to Dubai

The AMER Center clarified the process for visiting visa holders if their visa was issued by the Emirate of Dubai.

If your visa expired before March 1, 2020, follow this process

Visit the Deportation Centre 48 hours prior to your flight.

If you tourist visa or visit visa was issued from Dubai and you want to leave the country before 10, 2020, you would need to visit the deportation center 48 hours prior to your flight.

The deportation centre is located right before Terminal 2, Dubai International Airport.

When you head towards Terminal 2, turning right towards d91 from Ittihad Road (E11), you will find the Deportation Centre 1Km down the road, right before Gate 3 of Dubai Airport.

Get an eye and fingerprint scan
At the Centre, you will need to speak with the immigration officer, who will do an eye and fingerprint scan.

Fees - Dh400
Before your flight, at the airport you would need to pay an outpass fee and administration fee, which would be total of Dh400.

If you leave before August 10, 2020, you will not be asked to pay overstay fines
This does not include any overstay fines, if you are leaving the country before August 10, 2020

How overstay fines are calculated.

If you do not leave the country before august 10, 2020, you will need to pay overstay fines, which will be calculated based on your visas original expiry.

For visit visas, overstay fines are calculated as follows:
1. Dh300 for the first day
2. Dh100 for every following day

If your UAE visit visa expired after March 1, 2020, follow these process.

If your visit visa expired after March 1, 2020, and the grace period for the visa expired between March 1 2020 and July 10, 2020, you can stay in UAE until August 10, 2020.

You would not need to visit the deportation centre

If you wish to leave the country before August 10, 2020, you do not need to visit the deportation centre.
If you do not leave the UAE before August 10, overstay fines will be calculated from July 11, 2020.

No overstay fines will be implemented if you leave the UAE before August 10, 2020. If you do not leave the country by then, overstay fines will be calculated July 11 onwards, according to Amer centres.
