Assam floods: Nearly 27 people affected, 91 killed in deluge

Almost 27 lakh people in Assam's 25 districts have been severely displaced due to massive floods in the state. The death toll due to the deluge has now reached 91 in the state after two people drowned in flood waters in Bongaigaon and Kokrajhar districts.

Following heavy downpour in the past few days, the water level of Brahmaputra river and its tributaries have been increasing, turning the current flood situation in Assam worse.

Heavy rainfall has crippled the state as 2,548 villages of the flood-hit districts are currently under water. For more, watch the full video.
