Aggressive elephant attempts to break construction barrier in southern India
  • 4 years ago
An elephant tried to break into a village adjacent to a wildlife reserve in southern India’s Karnataka.

The incident took place on July 18 in a village within the N Begur Range along Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Chamarajanagar district.

According to reports, this was not the first time the same elephant was trying to infiltrate the 200-kilometre-long periphery (124 miles) along the national park.

The infamous elephant has been frequenting the same segment of the under-construction barricade area for a long time, sufficiently understanding it is the only place to breach the barrier.

The footage shows the elephant banging its nasal bridge against the barricade in an attempt to crack open the iron fence, but failing to do so.

Later, the mischievous beast was driven back into the woods by forest guards on patrol in the area.
