Mouth Lesions May Be a New COVID-19 Symptom, Study Says A new study published in 'JAMA Dermatology' observed 21 COVID-19 patients between the ages of 40 and 69. Researchers found that enanthems, or rash-like mouth lesions, were present in six out of 21 patients with COVID-19 and skin rash. Four of the six patients were female. Study researchers, via Fox News Study researchers, via Fox News According to researchers, "many patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 do not have their oral cavity examined" due to safety concerns. Researchers also said enanthems were previously discovered in some COVID-19 patients in Italy.
