UK teen bored in lockdown designs and builds robot inspired by Boston Dynamics to attack

A 16-year-old from Leeds, UK has designed and 3D printed a robot that has been inspired by the technology company Boston Dynamics.
Footage shows the 3D printed robot being hit with a stick but still being able to stay upright, which is a familiar testing method used by Boston Dynamics in their viral videos.
The teen, who goes by @raspibotics online, told Newsflare: "As a bored 16-year-old student that needed something to do in lockdown I decided to create my own version of Boston Dynamics' famous handle robot.
"I put my home 3D Printer to good use to create the shell and used a clever PID [proportional–integral–derivative] controller to keep the robot upright even when pushed around!
"The self-balancing robot or SB-1 for short uses a Raspberry Pi and Arduino as its brain and is open source to encourage others to get into robotics and STEM.
"Anyone with a 3D printer and a bit of know-how can go on my blog and find out how to build their own unique balancing robot."
